Zisko, Oliver 'PLAN(e)T-based'

Produktbeschreibung
Release Date: 01.06.2026

feat. former Cynic / Dream Theater / Allan Holdsworth band members.

Hungarian drummer and producer Oliver Zisko returns with his most ambitious and heaviest solo effort to date. Titled PLAN(e)T-based, the upcoming album is set for vinyl and digital release on June 1, 2026, blending crushing modern metal textures with sophisticated fusion-prog craftsmanship.

After tracking drums for countless metal albums in recent years, Zisko channels that accumulated intensity into a concept that pushes far beyond traditional instrumental territory.

Heavier Vision, Progressive Core

The sonic identity of PLAN(e)T-based is defined by:

Crushing 8-string (and occasionally down-tuned) guitar tones

Complex, groove-driven rhythmic structures

Fusion-inspired harmonic depth

Progressive arrangements within a modern metal framework

The result is a technically refined yet emotionally charged instrumental record that navigates the intersection of progressive metal and jazz-fusion.

Zisko not only performs drums, but also handles keyboards, programming, mixing, and mastering, maintaining full artistic control over the final sound.

International All-Star Line-Up

One of the album’s strongest assets is its remarkable line-up, featuring musicians associated with some of progressive music’s most respected names.
